Explore trails to the north and south of the road to create your own loops. In the northern section, walk an old farm route through a rolling field to the homestead for lake views. No direct path leads to the lake shore due to dense vegetation and steep slopes. From the homestead, take a charming farm road east towards Meyenburg Drive. Another path leads to an old orchard by the field's edge with lake views, then back to the trailhead. The loop around the field is about 0.8 miles. To extend your walk, use the wooded roads east of the fields.

South of Delight Park Road, discover more trails and looping options. Follow an old farm road or a field path east briefly, then turn right onto another farm road under the road. Both paths meet in the forest, leading to a large beautiful field. Walk around the field's edge for half a mile. Find another old farm path leading south from the field to a Y-junction. Turn left, passing a field filled with Scotch broom, before another junction. The straight path goes south out of the state park. Turn right instead, following a path north by a wetland back to the Y-junction.
