This family-friendly event offers a chance to give back to the land and enjoy a day outdoors—perfect for all ages. Participation in volunteer activities is optional, and guests are welcome to drop in anytime during the event.
Event Schedule:
🛠️ Volunteer Activities (9:00–11:00 AM)
Help plant native species along Mindy Creek and the Belfair Bark Park Trail as part of an ongoing restoration effort.
🎮 Games & Activities (9:00 AM–12:30 PM)
Salmon Hazards: The Game – Navigate the journey of a spawning salmon
Planting Kits – Kids can start their own mini garden (limited supply)
Lawn Games – Corn hole, ladder golf, bocce ball
Extras – Coloring pages, scavenger hunts, birdhouse kits
🚶 Guided Nature Walks:
Estuary Tour (11:00–11:45 AM) – Explore the Union River Estuary and its native species
Farm Tour (11:45 AM–12:15 PM) – Learn about organic farming and meet animals at the Farm at Water’s Edge
