The Salmon Center continues its Neighborhood Naturalist Workshop Series, offering free, hands-on learning experiences for young nature enthusiasts. With six workshops in total, each session can be attended individually—no full-series registration required.
📅 Upcoming Workshop: Conservation Investigators – April 12
🌱 FREE & Interactive
👧 Ages: 9-13
📍 Location: The Salmon Center
Did you know that 40 species in Washington are listed as endangered or threatened? Many of these animals call Hood Canal home, including four species of salmon and trout protected under the Endangered Species Act. This interactive workshop gives young conservationists the chance to learn about these at-risk species, the challenges they face, and the efforts being made to protect them.
A great opportunity for kids to engage with nature, explore local wildlife, and discover how they can make a difference!
