Everyone is invited to participate in the 20, 32 or 44-mile circuit that covers medium and rolling hills through scenic, rural Mason County. Check-in is at 7:45 a.m. and all three courses start at 8:30 a.m. in the parking lot at El Puerto de Angeles Restaurant, 2503 Olympic Highway North in Shelton. The 20-mile course will go to Mason Lake and back; the 32-mile course goes past Lake Limerick, circles Mason Lake and returns; and the 44-mile course circles Mason Lake twice before returning.
An entry fee of $40 per person includes a commemorative water bottle (while supplies last), Olympic Mountain ice cream for everyone, and a cold beer (adults only) at the finish line. Registration forms can be obtained in person from Hood Canal Communications in Shelton, or printed out by going online to www.masongeneral.com. All proceeds from the 2019 Tour de Mason Lake benefit the Karen Hilburn Cancer Fund, which helps women who are uninsured or underinsured with the cost of their diagnoses and treatment of breast, cervical, ovarian, uterine and endometrial cancers.
