The Beast of Big Creek Trail Race

Who's the real Beast of Big Creek? 
Half-Marathon(ish) and 10K(ish) trail races in the Olympic Mountains. Summit race (limit 40 participants, must be 18) on beautiful single track climbs from Big Creek CG to the summit of Mt. Ellinor at 5944' and back with 5000' ft of climbing/descent. 10K is an out and back on forested creekside trail with about 2000' feet of climbing/descent.  

Summit race start:  8:30AM

10K start:  9:00AM

Packet pick-up at South Sound Running:  TBA

For everyone's safety, cut-off times will be enforced on the summit course.  Failure to meet specified cut-off times (4.5 hours) will result in a DNF. Pro tip: Don't make the summit course your first trail race. This is not a hike.  No day of race registration. 

Awards for Overall (Beast of Big Creek), Best Climber (summit), Masters, and 10 year age groups. The North Face T-shirt included for registrations prior to 7/15/2015.  Aid available on course.
