Celebrate the holidays on the shores of Hammersley Inlet by seeing this year’s Lighted Boat Parade, organized by the Shelton Yacht Club.

On December 6 and 7 — at 6 p.m. each night — boats decked out in all kinds of festive light displays will depart from the Shelton Yacht Club and cruise down Hammersley Inlet. Bundle up and bring a thermos of hot cocoa!

This event is free for all. The boats will be visible from anywhere you can see the waters of Hammersley Inlet. The yacht club recommends not parking at their location, as the boats will be difficult to see from that direction. Instead, try either of these two public boat launches (no passes required):

Walker Parker 2224 SE Walker Park Rd, Shelton (features boat launch, beach access, playground, restrooms and picnic shelter)

Jacoby (Shorecrest) Park 120 E Shorecrest Parkway, Shelton (features boat launch)
