Whiskey and Hist'ry in Hoodsport

In 1928 bootlegging was a hobby on the canal with stills at several homes. By 1929, bootlegging had become a major business in Hoodsport. Mike Fredson will be giving a short presentation on Hoodsport bootleggers Dick and Edna Shively.  Cindy Sund will be be giving a presentation on her family history in Hoodsport. The Sund family homesteaded on Hood Canal in 1889. Bill Jensen will be providing photos and information about the history of Lake Cushman.


Tastings of Hardware Distillery liquors such as aquavits, gins, vodka, and whiskey will be available including the award winning – Bee's Knees and Cat's Pajamas.
