(not native) Up to 12”, white/gray oblong shell with irregular, wavy edges; found in the intertidal zone.
Olympia Oyster
Up to 3”, the rounded shell is white to purplish black and may be striped with yellow or brown; the flesh has a metallic flavor. It is currently protected in wild habitats.
