2019 Hama Hama Oyster Rama

  • Hama Hama Oyster Co. US 101 Lilliwaup, WA 98555 (map)

Celebrate the tideflats!

Every year Hama Hama Oysters welcomes the public to their beach to learn about oysters, oyster farming, and life in the Hood Canal, aquatic and otherwise. It's not the biggest seaside party in the world, but it might be the biggest subtidal one!

“It’s a tideflat party and oyster fest! you can harvest oysters and clams, explore the beach with ecologists and farmers, compete in an oyster trivia or mystery oyster contest, wander art and environmental booths, sample delicious oyster (and non oyster) dishes, listen to live music... basically just hang on the beach with good food, good drinks, and happy people!”
— Hama Hama Oyster Co.

The Rama features intertidal tours with ecologists and oyster growers, u-pick oysters and clams, an oyster-sports competition called the Shuckathalon, a kid-friendly beer and wine garden, children's activities including a marine touch tank, live music, and lots of great fresh local food. Every year, the Rama benefits local Hood Canal charities.
